Delete your Pregtionary account
Last updated 20 October 2026
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email.
- This page is for the Pregtionary app for iOS and Android, published by Pregtionary, South Africa.
- Deleting your account removes your sign-in and your profile. It does not cancel a Pregtionary Pro subscription: cancel that in Google Play or the App Store.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Pregtionary and sign in.
- Go to the Shop tab.
- On your account card (your name and email), tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, then tap Delete account again to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Ask us to delete it without the app
If you no longer have the app, email privacy@preg-tionary.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email. If you write from a different address, we will first ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
What we delete
- Your sign-in: email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Your profile: name, role (for example expecting parent or partner), pregnancy week and day, estimated due date and the date you joined.
- The link between your account and your Pregtionary Pro purchases.
What we keep, and for how long
- Shop orders (name, delivery address, items and total) are kept for up to five years after the order to meet South African tax and accounting rules, no longer linked to your account, then deleted or anonymised.
- Pregtionary Pro purchase records (a random purchase identifier and the store transaction history) are kept for as long as needed for accounting and refunds. They are not linked to your name, email or profile.
- Emails you send us are kept for up to two years after we last hear from you.
- Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Data on your phone
Your journal, photos, bookmarks and quiz progress are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us, so deleting your account does not remove them. To erase them, uninstall Pregtionary, or on Android clear its storage (Settings › Apps › Pregtionary › Storage › Clear storage).
Cancel Pregtionary Pro
Apple and Google bill Pregtionary Pro, so deleting your account or the app does not stop the subscription. Cancel it in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
